Could It Be Any Brighter?

The night was clear. The moon, full and round, claimed center stage in the darkness of the night sky. Transposed against the blanket of black, an otherwise dull rock reflected the sun’s light and demanded an audience from all who stood beneath its light.

As those walking in the Light of Christ, we are called to do the same. Stand confident in the truth of the Gospel. Step into each day with the wholeness and hope that only Christ can give, and by doing so, shine light into the darkness.

The Light of Christmas is meant to be shared all year through the lives of God’s children. The gift that began in a manger, traveled to a cross, and rose from the grave entered our hearts through His Spirit. Not so that we would hide or live in fear, but so that our lives would shine His light and share His hope with those who are still in darkness. How will your life shine the Light of Jesus this year?

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

Take Time to Pause

  • How is the moon’s reflection of the sun’s light similar to how we are to reflect God’s Light to the world?
  • How might you be hiding or still living in fear this Christmas?
  • What can you do to reflect the Light and Love of Jesus to a hurting world?
