Did You Bring Popcorn?

Sitting down in the velvety theater seat, I balanced my popcorn on my lap and slid my drink into the cupholder. The lights dimmed, and I settled in, ready for the adventure to begin.

With a racing heart, I sat on the edge of my seat, captivated by the nonstop action. After two suspenseful hours, the movie ended with a cliffhanger – would the misfit hero’s bold choices really succeed? I’d have to wait for the sequel to find out.

In a way, following Jesus can feel just as exhilarating. He calls us into a real, unfolding story, one filled with purpose, movement, and choice. Jesus doesn’t hesitate or hold back. He speaks truth, clears away what hinders, and calls people to wholehearted faith.

Do you trust Him enough to follow His example? To move when He tells you? To go where He sends you? It’s not for the faint of heart.

Just like your favorite tale of adventure, following Him will have challenges and hardships, but will take you to places you never could have imagined.

The question is…are you ready for action?
