Step into L.I.FE.: Why Walk When You Can Run

We’ve been talking this month about walking with Jesus and how being intentional with our time and thoughts during the day can help us see the world through His eyes. Or how on days when we just don’t feel like it, He beckons us to walk anyway – to keep our eyes fixed on Him and put one foot in front of the other.

This can be challenging on even the best days, but what do we do when life feels like you’re training for a marathon?

Have you ever been in a season where each day feels like a challenge you don’t feel equipped to take?

Perhaps you’re in a season of illness or challenges at home or work. You could even be in a joy-filled season of transition – new job, new baby, or new house. There are multiple reasons for why facing the day might require more stamina or mustered motivation. Wherever you find yourself, I have a challenge for you…

Don’t just walk, run!

You’ve been training for this.

Intentionally grab the hand of your Creator and Coach. Focus on His strength, His peace, and His love.

Then RUN with confidence into each day knowing that you don’t face it alone!

I hear my Heavenly Father say,

“It’s time to walk, my child. It’s time to run.

Do not be afraid. I know this world is scary, but I have overcome the world. You will have the strength and security you need with each step. I will guide you and protect you. I will give you peace. When you feel weak, run into my arms and I will give you rest. Together we will soar on wings like eagles and run and not grow weary.

Walk, my child. Run.

Child, you are mine. My love for you is greater than anything of this world, and you are my child. That is what you are! Hold tight to this truth, my love. And nothing this world sends your way will hurt you. Find your confidence in the love I have for you.

Walk, my child. Run.

Place one foot in front of the other, trusting me. One step at a time, I will be with you. Keep your eyes on me, and I will show you the way.

You were created to not just walk. You were created to run!”
