Who Are You Grateful For?
Having woken from a bad dream, my child climbs into bed with me seeking comfort at 2am. I can’t remember the last time I’ve slept through the night without interruption, and I’ve got the dark circles to prove it.
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of children!
Help me to savor each snuggle, night or day.
A friend I haven’t seen in ten years surprises me with a weekend visit. We laugh, cry, and share stories as if no time has passed at all. When we say goodbye, we pray we see each other before another ten, but we know either way our sisterhood will survive the time and distance.
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of friendship!
Help me to love others lavishly and open our home to hospitality.
I kiss my mother on the cheek as she hands me my six-month-old son. I’m thankful for her gift of a night with only our big kids. The vacation couldn’t have been more perfect. How could I have known it would be our last together?
Thank you, Lord, for family!
Help me to cherish time together and memories shared.
As you gather around the table for the holidays remember that each moment with the ones you love is precious. And be grateful!
Today is a gift. Tomorrow is a treasure. Cherish the time together.
