Do You Remember your Favorite Gift?
Present on the day of creation – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God separated the light from the darkness, the water from the land, and the day from the night. All Three as One orchestrated creation, perfectly, beautifully, wonderfully made. God breathed life into man, and then from the same flesh, the woman. Humankind was created to live in communion with God and in a perfect world of light and life.
Yet, one mistake, the world went dark, and the perfect life lost its luster.
Not lost forever, but blanketed in darkness and sin, the world yearned for the restoration that only the Creator could give.
The shepherds found this gift wrapped in flesh and lying in a manger. The same God, the God of creation, once again birthed light into a dark world, this time for eternity through the Son, Jesus.
He came for you. He came for me. And he arrived for the generations not yet born. The same God who shaped the mountains with his hands held his hands open wide with the greatest gift of love that only He could give.
This Christmas will you run to His arms, and be wrapped in His hope and peace? I can think of no greater gift than the timeless, precious gift of Jesus!
“Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.“
John 1:3-5
