When walking through is uncertain

Familiar butterflies in my stomach took flight the closer I got to the meeting.

Tempted to turn around, I forced each step into the room.

Why was this so hard? I wanted to be there, but I was meeting someone new and I had no idea how it would go.

New relationships can be scary because it’s unfamiliar territory. Going out of our comfort zones means making ourselves vulnerable. With vulnerability comes the possibility of rejection or embarrassment. But it also comes with opportunity and excitement.

And no matter what new relationships bring, we can learn and grow from each of them.

Looking back, I’m grateful I didn’t let fear keep me from walking through that door. What felt uncertain at the time became a blessing I never could have anticipated.

Of course, not every relationship unfolds that way. Some bring disappointment, heartache, or difficult lessons. Yet even in those relationships, God is at work. He uses them to shape our character, deepen our dependence on Him, and remind us that His love never fails.

As we celebrate three years of ministry, we’re reminded of how faithful God has been to bring the right people into our lives at just the right time.

As part of our month of celebration, we are thankful for the NEW RELATIONSHIPS we’ve made this year! From local shop owners promoting our journals (Fruit Hill Orchard, The Queen Bee, River Road Cottage) to other Christian entrepreneurs & business owners (Kingdom Connections, The Layne Less Traveled, Central VA Marketing) to new LIFEstory community members and many more, we are grateful for each relationship and connection! 💛

We may not know where a new relationship will lead, but we can trust the One who does.

And for each of you who has been part of this journey, thank you. You are one of God’s blessings in our story.
